Pinetree Capital acquires securities of Halo Resources Ltd.

Pinetree Capital Ltd. reports it acquired ownership of 2,000,000 common shares of Halo Resources and 2,000,000 common share purchase warrants on November 6, 2009.
Each Warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share at a price of $0.075 per share until November 6, 2010 and thereafter at a price of $0.10 per share until November 6, 2011. In the event that the Warrants are fully exercised, these holdings represent approximately 2.8% of the total issued and outstanding common shares of Halo as of November 6, 2009, calculated on a partially diluted basis assuming the exercise of the Warrants only.
